- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz medium pasta shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the beef broth and Italian seasoning, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes until thickened.
- Fold in the cooked pasta shells until well-coated with the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Italian seasoning.
Notes
Use lean meat to reduce excess fat. Consider adding veggies for extra nutrition.
