Description

A delightful and comforting dish featuring tender penne pasta coated in a luxurious cream sauce with savory ground beef, garlic, and onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve about a cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant and transparent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, cooking until browned, about 7 minutes.
  4. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, gradually mixing in reserved pasta water until the desired sauce consistency is reached. Add grated Parmesan and let it melt.
  5. Toss the cooked penne into the skillet, mixing well with the creamy sauce. Serve hot, garnished with more Parmesan or parsley if desired.

Notes

Use fresh, grated Parmesan for better flavor. Don’t overcook the pasta and adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
