Description

An irresistible dish that brings together tender chicken, savory ham, and rich Swiss cheese, drizzled with a creamy mustard sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Season each breast with salt and pepper.
  4. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each chicken breast. Roll up tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Dredge each roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the chicken rolls on all sides.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  8. In a saucepan, whisk together heavy cream and Dijon mustard, then heat until warmed.
  9. Serve the chicken rolls with the creamy sauce drizzled on top.

Make sure to roll the chicken tightly to avoid leaks during cooking. Let the chicken rest after baking for optimal juiciness.
