Description

A rich and velvety seafood soup featuring crab and shrimp in a creamy broth, perfect for special occasions or cozy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound crab meat (fresh or canned)
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in seafood stock and bring to a simmer. Add corn, paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, then add shrimp and crab meat. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, around 5-7 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your homemade seafood soup!

Notes

For a creamier texture, blend a portion of the soup before adding the shrimp and crab. Pair with crusty bread for a delightful meal.
