- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Turn down the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For best results, ensure chicken is even in thickness. Use freshly grated Parmesan for enhanced flavor.
