Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Turn down the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure chicken is even in thickness. Use freshly grated Parmesan for enhanced flavor.
