Description

A comforting pasta dish smothered in a rich, creamy sauce featuring tender beef, perfect for busy weeknights or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks until browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer gently.
  5. Gradually add the shredded cheese, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing thoroughly to coat in the sauce.
  7. Plate the dish hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with low-fat milk. Feel free to experiment with different cheese blends and seasonal vegetables.
