Description

A delightful dish combining ripe tomatoes and rich heavy cream for a comforting and elegant pasta experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1 cup ripe tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Add the spaghetti or fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add Tomatoes: Toss in the diced tomatoes along with salt and pepper. Simmer for about five minutes.
  4. Mix in Cream: Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream until thoroughly combined.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  6. Serve: Plate the pasta, top with fresh basil, and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust heat to prevent burnt garlic or curdled cream. Save pasta water for added creaminess.
