- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until browned and nutty in aroma, then allow to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, and the browned butter. Beat in egg, apple cider, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
