- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons seasoned salt
- Vegetable or canola oil (for frying)
- Optional: 2 eggs (for thicker breading)
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat or a deep fryer until it reaches about 375°F.
- Prepare the dredging station by mixing the flour and seasoned salt in a bowl. If using, beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
- Coat each mushroom slice by dipping it in the egg mixture and then dredging it in the seasoned flour.
- Carefully place the coated mushrooms into the hot oil and fry for about 5 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- Remove the mushrooms and let them drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
Notes
Let fried mushrooms cool on paper towels to maintain crispiness. Experiment with different seasonings for added flavor.
