Description

Delicious and crunchy garlic tofu bites made in an air fryer, perfect for snacks or appetizers.


Ingredients

  • 1 block Firm Tofu (opt for firm or extra-firm to maintain shape)
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch (for a crispy coating)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce (for serving)
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for about 15 minutes.
  2. Once pressed, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss the tofu cubes in this mixture until fully coated. Sprinkle the cornstarch mixture over the tofu and toss again until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Arrange the tofu bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Once golden and crispy, remove from the air fryer, garnish with parsley, and serve with sweet chili sauce and soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, press the tofu well and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for optimum crispiness.
