Description

Crispy chicken drenched in a sweet and spicy glaze with tangy feta cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Create a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and a panko mixture (combine panko, feta, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper).
  3. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and press into the panko mixture.
  4. Heat 1/4 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F).
  5. Whisk together honey, hot sauce, and lemon juice in a saucepan over low heat to create the glaze.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate and drizzle the hot honey glaze over the top. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Double breading the chicken can enhance the crunch. Adjust the hot sauce in glaze to your spice preference.
