Description

Crispy Italian Basil Chicken Cutlets feature juicy chicken with a crunchy, herb-infused Parmesan coating, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another dish, beat the eggs.
  5. In a third dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and garlic powder.
  6. Dip each chicken breast in the flour, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  8. Fry the chicken cutlets until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  9. Transfer the cutlets to a baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven for 10 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a variation, consider using gluten-free breadcrumbs and almond flour. You can also bake the cutlets instead of frying for a lighter version.
