Description

A delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors with a crunchy outer layer and juicy chicken inside, perfect for casual dinners or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour and beaten eggs.
  3. Dip each chicken piece in the egg, then coat with flour.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry chicken pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. In a saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and ginger powder. Simmer until thickened.
  7. Toss the fried chicken in the orange sauce and serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, allow fried chicken to rest on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Use fresh orange juice for best flavor.
