A delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors with a crunchy outer layer and juicy chicken inside, perfect for casual dinners or potlucks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- Set up a breading station with flour and beaten eggs.
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg, then coat with flour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry chicken pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and ginger powder. Simmer until thickened.
- Toss the fried chicken in the orange sauce and serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
For a crunchier texture, allow fried chicken to rest on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Use fresh orange juice for best flavor.
