- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for sauce)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- In a shallow dish, place the flour seasoned with salt and pepper. In a second dish, whisk the eggs and water together. In a third dish, mix the Panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, then transfer to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in flour and cook for another minute before gradually whisking in chicken broth and cream. Cook until thickened.
- Stir in additional Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve the chicken topped with the garlic cream sauce, garnished with parsley.
Notes
For extra crispiness, use Panko breadcrumbs and ensure chicken is dry before dredging.
