Description

A delightful layer of crispy fried tofu with creamy avocado and comforting rice, enhanced by a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu by wrapping it in a towel and placing a heavy object on top for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes and marinate in teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet and cook the marinated tofu until crispy, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mash the avocado and mix with the cooked rice.
  6. Layer the avocado rice and crispy tofu in a mold to form a stack. Drizzle with soy sauce mixture.
  7. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

Use firm tofu for best results, and feel free to experiment with different rice types.
