Description

Tender, pulled chicken smothered in sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, perfect for sandwiches or a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/4 cup Sweet barbecue sauce (preferably Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing (preferably fat-free)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup Light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick spray. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, and place them in the crockpot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until mixed, then pour over the chicken.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 150-180 minutes or low for 300-360 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ยฐF.
  4. Serve the chicken whole or shredded with its sauce.

Notes

Cut chicken uniformly for even cooking; use high-quality sauce for the best flavor.
