Instructions
- Allow the frozen angel food cake to thaw for 2-3 hours at room temperature. Cut the cake into cubes measuring 1 1/2 to 2 inches.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for coating.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over low to medium heat.
- Fry the cake cubes in batches for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Immediately toss the fried cubes in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and milk to create icing, and drizzle over the churro bites just before serving.
