A flavorful and easy-to-make spicy Mexican chicken dish that combines vibrant spices with juicy chicken, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken strips and mix until they’re well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the chicken in the last minute of cooking.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve.
Notes
Marinating longer will enhance the flavors. Ensure chicken reaches 165°F for safety, and don’t overcrowd the pan while cooking.
