Description
A comforting bowl of pasta featuring tender chicken and linguine in a rich, creamy butter sauce with garlic and red pepper flakes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 4–5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by dicing the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mincing the garlic.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, reserving some pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the chicken in a large skillet with half of the butter over medium heat until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about a minute.
- Add remaining butter and heavy cream to the skillet, stirring until well combined and creamy.
- Toss the cooked linguine into the sauce, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary. Top with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Pro tips include ensuring chicken is not crowded in the pan and reserving enough pasta water for sauce consistency. Fresh parsley adds flavor and color.
