A delightful dish featuring savory meatballs in a rich garlic butter sauce served over Parmesan linguine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (for the sauce)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces linguine pasta
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 2 minced garlic cloves, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into small meatballs.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the meatballs and brown them on all sides for about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs and in the same skillet, add the additional minced garlic. Sauté for about a minute, then pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- While the meatballs are simmering, cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Plate the linguine, top with meatballs, drizzle with sauce, sprinkle extra Parmesan, and garnish with parsley.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute beef with plant-based alternatives. For a spicier kick, add crushed red pepper flakes.
