Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, freshly minced
  • 1.5 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.75 lb chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 24 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups pico de gallo
  • 0.5 cup cilantro
  • 8 lime wedges
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup onions, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a large bowl, combine orange juice, cider vinegar, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill: Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Grill the chicken: Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. Warm the tortillas: Wrap corn tortillas in foil and place on the grill for a few minutes.
  5. Assemble the tacos: Fill each tortilla with grilled chicken and top with pico de gallo, onions, cilantro, guacamole, and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve with sour cream and hot sauce.

Notes

For more flavor, marinate the chicken for 4 hours or overnight. Use fresh herbs for better taste.
