- 1 lb ground beef
- 4–5 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: onions, bell peppers, or any other desired vegetables
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Add a layer of the cooked ground beef over the potatoes.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add another layer of sliced potatoes if desired, followed by the remaining ground beef and finish with the last of the soup.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for about 45-50 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
