- 1 cup Unsalted butter
- 2 cups Granulated sugar
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Lemon zest
- 1/2 cup Fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons Milk (for glaze)
- Additional lemon zest (for glaze) to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter and mix in the sugar until combined.
- Add in the eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice, mixing until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk and zest until smooth.
- Once the brownies are cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Allow to set, cut into squares, and enjoy!

For the best flavor, use fresh lemons instead of bottled juice.
