- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Crumble the Italian sausage into the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir in grated parmesan cheese and let simmer for about 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked sausage and pasta to the skillet, tossing everything until well combined. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and extra parmesan if desired.
