Description

Celebrate with vibrant red, white, and blue lollipops that are a fun and delicious treat for Independence Day and Memorial Day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Flavored candy oils (strawberry, blueberry)
  • Food coloring (red, blue) as needed
  • 10 Wooden sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lollipop molds by lightly greasing them with non-stick spray.
  2. Combine sugar, water, and light corn syrup in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until dissolved, then bring to 300°F using a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in candy oils and food coloring. Divide the mixture into three bowls for red, blue, and clear mixtures.
  4. Pour the clear mixture into molds first, then layer in the red and blue mixtures. Insert wooden sticks and let cool and harden completely.
  5. Once set, remove from molds and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Notes

Use a candy thermometer for accurate results and work quickly with the candy mixture to achieve the best texture.
