Description

Soft, buttery sugar cookies that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls, about an inch in diameter, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Flatten the balls slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough if it feels sticky and use parchment paper for baking.
