Description

A quick and delicious dish combining tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown, then remove and set aside.
  2. Add about 1/4 cup of water and the broccoli florets to the skillet. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender, then discard excess water.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and add unsalted butter to melt. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until aromatic.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Return the chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in the steamed broccoli. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Consider using frozen chicken that’s fully thawed before cooking. Broccoli can be replaced with green beans or asparagus.
