Description

Garlic Butter Rice is a comforting side dish that combines fluffy rice with rich, buttery garlic flavor. Perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  3. Add the rinsed rice to the garlic butter and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth (or water) and add salt and pepper; stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. You can also use olive oil instead of butter.
