Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare green beans by trimming the ends and rinsing them under cold water.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter, melting until sizzling.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Toss in mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
  5. Add green beans to the skillet, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until green beans are tender yet crisp.
  7. Remove the lid and add the remaining tablespoon of butter, stirring until melted.
  8. Stir in lemon juice to enhance flavor.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Avoid overcooking green beans to retain their vibrant color and crunch. Adjust spices according to your taste.
