- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare green beans by trimming the ends and rinsing them under cold water.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter, melting until sizzling.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Toss in mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
- Add green beans to the skillet, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until green beans are tender yet crisp.
- Remove the lid and add the remaining tablespoon of butter, stirring until melted.
- Stir in lemon juice to enhance flavor.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
