Description

A mouthwatering dish that combines juicy steak with cheesy, buttery potatoes, all enhanced with rich garlic butter.

Ingredients

  • Juicy steaks (e.g., sirloin or ribeye)
  • Potatoes (sliced thin)
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Butter
  • Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme or rosemary, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper, then sear in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on both sides.
  3. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  4. Melt butter in the same skillet and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  5. Layer sliced potatoes in a baking dish and pour the garlic butter over them, mixing well.
  6. Place the seared steaks on top of the potatoes.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over everything.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Experiment with different cheese varieties for added flavors, and always allow steaks to rest for juicier meat.
