Description

A delightful dish that perfectly balances simplicity and flavor, Garlic Sesame Noodles feature steamed noodles tossed in a savory garlic and sesame sauce with fresh green onions and optional veggies or protein.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • Optional: assorted vegetables or protein (tofu, chicken, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse them under cold water to prevent sticking.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Incorporate the cooked noodles into the skillet along with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds.
  5. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated.
  6. If desired, stir in your choice of veggies or protein.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately while still warm.

Notes

For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes or chili oil during cooking. Use tamari for a gluten-free option.
