Description

A delightful dish combining tender steak and cheesy tortellini in a creamy sauce, offering a hearty meal ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Smoked paprika, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add cheese tortellini and cook until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season and Cook the Steak: Season steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear steak for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  3. Make the Creamhouse Sauce: In the same skillet, lower heat and add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring well. Bring to a simmer and add parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Combine: Toss cooked tortellini and steak pieces in the skillet with the sauce, mixing thoroughly until well-coated.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper before serving.

Notes

For best results, serve in a large, shallow bowl with a side of garlic bread or a light salad. Pair with white wine or a light-bodied red for an elevated experience.
