- 1½ cups Blueberries, fresh or frozen (thawed)
- 10 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
- 1¼ cups Granulated sugar
- 2 large Eggs, room temperature
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon Sea salt
- 1 cup All-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 cup Powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- â…› teaspoon Vanilla extract
- Salt, pinch
Instructions
- Prepare Blueberry Puree: Blend the blueberries in a food processor until smooth, leaving some chunks if desired.
- Cook the Puree: Transfer puree to a saucepan over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes until thickened. Set aside to cool.
- Prep the Baking Dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until blended.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix sifted flour and sea salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Bake: Pour half the brownie batter into the dish, spread evenly. Spoon blueberry puree on top, then pour remaining batter over. Swirl with a knife and bake for 25 minutes.
- Make & Apply Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze. Drizzle over brownies after they cool.
- Cut and Store: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Store in an airtight container.
