Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers (mixed colors), chopped
- 1 cup good-quality tomato sauce
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Prepare your workspace and gather all ingredients.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and bell peppers; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Push vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Break apart with a spatula, cooking until it’s no longer pink, approximately 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, cumin, and chili powder; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the tomato sauce, stirring well to combine. Simmer for about 15 minutes to meld flavors.
- Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or spices as needed before serving.
Notes
Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat. Sauté vegetables longer for deeper flavor, if preferred.
