Description

A quick and hearty Ground Beef Skillet Dish combining savory beef, vibrant veggies, and tangy tomato sauce, perfect for any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers (mixed colors), chopped
  • 1 cup good-quality tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace and gather all ingredients.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and bell peppers; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Push vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Break apart with a spatula, cooking until it’s no longer pink, approximately 7-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, cumin, and chili powder; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the tomato sauce, stirring well to combine. Simmer for about 15 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or spices as needed before serving.

Notes

Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat. Sauté vegetables longer for deeper flavor, if preferred.
