- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice, for serving
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Sprinkle the flour over the meat and vegetables, stirring to combine.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce heat and stir in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and heat through.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Don’t rush the browning of the beef for maximum flavor. Adjust sauce thickness with additional beef broth or longer simmering.
