A hearty dish that features large pasta shells stuffed with seasoned ground beef, creamy ricotta, and melty mozzarella, topped with marinara sauce.

- 20 large pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, draining excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the beef, ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Stuff each pasta shell generously with the filling mixture.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish over the sauce and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving hot.
Notes
These stuffed shells can be made in advance and frozen for easy meals. Always taste the filling before stuffing and adjust seasoning as necessary.
