Description

A hearty skillet dish combining savory ground turkey with tender potatoes and peas, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté for about five minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and stir for another minute.
  2. Crumble ground turkey into the skillet and cook for 7 to 10 minutes until browned. Sprinkle in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in diced potatoes, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add frozen peas and cook for an additional five minutes until heated through.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving. Serve warm with crusty bread or over rice.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Avoid overcrowding the pan for proper browning.
