Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak (such as sirloin or flank), sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak strips in a bowl with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the brown rice according to package instructions and set aside to cool.
  3. Prepare vegetables by slicing the bell peppers and cutting the broccoli into florets.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated steak strips for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Remove the steak from the skillet and sauté the bell peppers and broccoli for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Combine soy sauce and lime juice in a small bowl, drizzle over the sautéed vegetables, and toss to coat.
  7. Assemble the steak bowl by layering brown rice, cooked steak, vegetables, and sliced avocado.
  8. Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds, then serve immediately.
