- 1 lb ground beef
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until soft (3-4 minutes).
- Spread the cooked beef mixture in the baking dish. Layer thinly sliced potatoes on top, seasoning with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle cheeses generously over the potatoes, then pour beef broth around the edges.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
Let it sit for 5-10 minutes after baking for easier serving. Customize with your favorite vegetables or cheese.
