Description

A creamy and flavorful bowtie pasta dish with ground beef and a luscious garlic parmesan sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Bowtie Pasta
  • 2 cups Beef Broth (Can substitute with vegetable broth)
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce (Can substitute with soy sauce)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (Fresh minced garlic can be used)
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning (Can use individual herbs)
  • 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese (Can substitute with Pecorino Romano)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, but reserve about a cup of pasta water for later.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Make the Sauce: Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder (if using), and Italian seasoning to the skillet with the beef. Stir well, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Combine: Lower the heat and gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until it melts and creates a creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Mix It Up: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta in the creamy mix.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of ground black pepper.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of red wine while cooking the beef. Fresh herbs can brighten up the dish when added right before serving.
