A hearty and flavorful dish that combines leftover rice with protein, vegetables, and rich seasonings for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups leftover rice
  • 1 cup cooked chicken or sausage, chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (like peas and carrots)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in the mixed vegetables and cooked chicken or sausage, cooking until heated through.
  3. Add the leftover rice, chicken broth, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until rice is heated and flavors are combined.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For the best texture, use day-old rice. Customize with different proteins or vegetables as desired.
