Description

A delightful blend of savory marinated flank steak, colorful veggies, and fluffy rice, perfect for weeknights or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup spicy cream sauce (sour cream, sriracha, lime juice)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak in soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and vegetable oil for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the rice according to the package instructions (about 15-20 minutes).
  3. Grill or sauté the marinated flank steak over medium-high heat until cooked to desired doneness, then let it rest before slicing.
  4. Sauté the bell peppers and carrots in the same pan until tender but still crunchy (about 5 minutes).
  5. Assemble the bowl by layering cooked rice, sliced steak, and sautéed veggies. Drizzle with spicy cream sauce.
  6. Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, let the beef marinate for a few hours or overnight. If you’re meal prepping, store components separately.
