Description
A delightful fusion of marinated flank steak served over fluffy rice with fresh vegetables and a creamy spicy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Fresh vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, cucumbers)
- 1/2 cup spicy cream sauce (sour cream, sriracha, lime juice)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the flank steak, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- While the steak is resting, cook the rice according to the package instructions.
- In a small bowl, mix together sour cream, sriracha, and lime juice. Adjust the sriracha to taste for your preferred spice level.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain. In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice, then top with sliced steak and fresh vegetables. Drizzle the spicy cream sauce over everything and enjoy!
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the steak longer and select a variety of fresh vegetables.
