- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: diced pickles, crumbled bacon, sliced green onions
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and sautรฉ for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions, about 7-8 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the milk, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
- Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy. Warm through without boiling.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste; adjust consistency with more broth or milk if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with optional toppings as desired.
