- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced vegetables (like bell peppers or broccoli)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, milk, and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- Grease a casserole dish and layer half of the meat mixture at the bottom.
- Spread the macaroni and cheese mixture over the first meat layer.
- Spoon the remaining meat mixture on top of the macaroni layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the casserole.
- Bake for about 45-50 minutes until the meat is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
