- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, and milk. Stir until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish without stirring.
- In a separate bowl, mix lemon juice and lemon zest, then pour this mixture over the batter without stirring.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving, and optionally dust with powdered sugar.
