Description

Soft, fluffy bars flavored with rich maple syrup and a hint of cinnamon, topped with a sweet maple glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. While the bars are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
  8. Once the bars are done baking, let them cool slightly before drizzling the maple glaze on top.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute with non-dairy milk and butter alternatives. Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
