- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the bars are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
- Once the bars are done baking, let them cool slightly before drizzling the maple glaze on top.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute with non-dairy milk and butter alternatives. Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
