Description

A comforting bake combining juicy meatballs and creamy mashed potatoes topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs and place in a baking dish.
  3. Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes.
  4. Spread a layer of mashed potatoes over the baked meatballs.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the mashed potatoes and sprinkle with shredded cheese if desired.
  6. Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Customize meatballs with different ground meats or seasonings. Use leftover mashed potatoes to save time.
