Description

A hearty and colorful Mediterranean Steak Bowl featuring marinated sirloin steak, fresh veggies, and a creamy tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups cooked grains (brown rice or quinoa)
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Cucumber, diced
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives
  • Tzatziki sauce (made from Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Coat the steak thoroughly in the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare tzatziki: In another bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate while the steak is cooking.
  3. Cook the steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated steak for 4–5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  4. Assemble your bowl: Start with a base of cooked grains, layer on sliced steak, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and olives, then drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
