- 1 can diced tomatoes

- 4 cups vegetable broth

Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the black beans, diced tomatoes, cumin, chili powder, and vegetable broth. Stir well to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, with warm tortillas or rice.
